adidas x C.P. Company Explorer jacket

A lightweight windbreaker style jacket, the “seeding edition” of the C.P. Company Explorer jacket was created in collaboration with adidas in 2018. Constructed from a coated Ny-lon fabric (Nyfoil) and based on one of the most iconic Goggle Jackets of the last decade, this special model came enriched with a series of rather subtle details, most interesting of which - and pride of production manager, Stefano Polato – was the insertion of shaped knitted panels attached to the main fabric of the jacket by hand. Created in the same way as fully-fashioned knitwear; a process that is highly artisanal and requires extreme precision. This detail provides a more subtle and comfortable ‘sports’ fit that can stretch according to the body’s movements in critical parts whilst also referencing C.P. Company’s long tradition of creating hybrid knitwear.
