SEBAGO X C.P. COMPANY

Icons aren’t just born overnight nor is their conception straight forward, a legendary status is achieved not only by the merits of a visionary design but also a visionary consumer.

During a short but incredibly intense period during the 1980s, two future iconic brands, C.P. Company and Sebago, stepped into the spotlight. The reason being because these highly revered pieces of aspirational apparel and footwear were purchased, traded, worn, and repurposed by a vibrant group of young Italian fashion cognoscenti. These forward thinking tastemakers had inadvertently created the first streetwear movement in Italian fashion history.

Now, 35 years later, these seminal brands have joined forces to celebrate 50 years since the foundation of C.P. Company and with it the concept of Italian Sportswear.
Creating a capsule collection that pays homage to the aspirational aesthetics and inimitable style of the most influential Italian subculture of all time, by designing two brand new icons of the future.
Available in three colour ways (yellow, red and blue) the M.T.t.N. jacket is a re-mastered edition of C.P. Company windbreaker from that glorious era. A piece that was one of C.P. Company’s first ever experiments in garment dyeing with nylon and cotton. This technique results in the nylon exterior being completely dyed, whereas the cotton interior is only slightly permeated by the pigment, and assumes a lighter, more nuanced tone.

This partnership also pays homage to another staple, one of the most iconic Sebago shoes of all time, the Portland Docksides boat shoe. First launched in 1970 it has always been a symbol of saltwater, open air, sun and water adventures that still to this day features a tubular construction, genuine hand stitching and an anti-slip outsole. These limited edition docksides have been manually overdyed in the same colours as the C.P. Company windbreaker, each pair is genuinely unique thanks to the 100% artisanal dyeing process.
