CHESTER PERRY LABEL

The name Chester Perry was chosen by Massimo in 1971 as a reference to the factory in which Frank Dickens' comic strip hero Bristow works. Also inspired by the world of comics and newspapers, Osti employed methods to print his t-shirts, jackets and shorts previously only ever used for paper. Making abundant use of a photocopier his use of placed print screen printing and the four colour process led to further experiments in garment dyeing. Whilst in 1977 he created a second line dedicated to knitwear and sweaters under the name 'Factory' in homage to Andy Warhol.
