IRIDESCENT C.P. COMPANY RAINCOAT
The 50 Fili fabric used for the outer layer of the jacket has been dyed with a cotton-nylon recipe, the cotton is a pallid turquoise while the nylon is an orange red, resulting in an unusua orange-grey-green tone that when wet, according to Andrea Renzini, to whom this garment belongs and who was worn it consistently for 30 years, becomes purple. The integrated gaitors add a further eccentric and experimental touch to the otherwise classic style of the piece. The result is a wonderful expression of mid-1980s C.P. Company.
